Less interface in the way
On a smaller screen, an open quest list, a map, a tip, and a conversation can compete with the world itself. This update starts the map and quest panels collapsed and remembers the player’s explicit choice to open or close them.
The quest information is still available. The change gives players more control over when they see it, rather than making a panel reopen whenever an objective changes.
Quests that are easier to follow
The release improves the sequence of visiting a character, progressing an objective, and handing in a quest. NPCs use visit-based states so the conversation can reflect where the player actually is in that sequence.
Controller navigation also received attention: D-pad character selection and menu actions were checked in Studio, alongside the quest interactions.
Make the world sound like itself
The jukebox offers 34 music tracks, including the Episode 3 songs “Every Friend Has a Story,” “Room for You,” and “One More Chapter.” Players can pick a song from the scrolling list or return to automatic music.
The music belongs to the experience in Roblox. This update does not depend on a separate streaming release.
What was checked
The release record confirms public v36 and a downloaded place file matching the built file. The documented checks covered interface preferences, quests, localization, and Studio client interactions.
Studio checks do not establish physical phone or Xbox testing, public save-and-rejoin behavior, or a new concurrent multiplayer session. Those are separate checks, rather than promises inferred from a successful build.
Watch the story in motion
This is a family gameplay session published on October 9. Its recorded build is not identified; it is not presented as a v36 verification video.
