Start with the characters
Wild Rebellion starts with Lilly’s own drawings and the stories attached to them. A character is more than a model to put in a scene: it needs a personality, a place in the world, and a reason for a player to care.
In “My Drawings Came to Life,” Lilly introduces that original creative world. Her Episode 3 explanation adds more characters and drawings, giving the game a source of ideas beyond a feature checklist.
Give the story somewhere to happen
Animation lets the characters act out a story. A game asks a different question: what can the player do inside it? Wild Rebellion turns the village, the Chaos Lair, and Bobcat Island into places to explore, with heroes and villains offering different perspectives.
That shift changes the job of a location. A home becomes somewhere to enter and meet someone. A dragon becomes a way to travel. A story conflict becomes an objective the player can take part in.
Turn imagination into working systems
Toby’s September discussion describes the early workflow across Blender, AI coding tools, and a Roblox prototype. The game now uses modular Luau systems for the world, characters, quests, interface, and audio.
The tools help produce and revise the implementation. The creative thread remains Lilly’s world: the point is to preserve what makes her characters recognizable as they move from a drawing into animation and interactive play.
Let a real play session tell the next story
The family gameplay video below is a useful companion to the artwork. It shows the pace of exploring and the experience of playing together. A full session can reveal places where directions, menus, or objectives need to become clearer.
The October interface release addresses that side of development with quieter panels, remembered preferences, clearer quest interactions, and easier access to the music. A world comes to life through those practical details as well as its characters.
