Readable Tactical Battlefield
Inspect friendly and enemy units on the grid to review health pools, attack values, defense modifiers, and movement radius.
A tactical browser game with a grid-based battlefield, unit actions, and solo or local multiplayer modes.

The project
Gridbound Realms is a turn-based tactical strategy game built for players who love spatial puzzles and unit positioning. Command a squad across a terrain grid, carefully balancing movement range, action points, line of sight, and special abilities.
The game features a multi-map solo campaign alongside hotseat Local Co-op and Local Versus modes. Every decision is transparent: selected units display attack reach, defensive cover bonuses, and a chronological battle log recapping every engagement.
Inside the project
Inspect friendly and enemy units on the grid to review health pools, attack values, defense modifiers, and movement radius.
Move, Attack, Wait, and Special action menus organize each turn around clear tactical trade-offs.
Progress through zone campaigns or play alongside a friend on the same machine with hotseat co-op and versus rules.
Full battle log, turn history, and save-state capabilities allow pausing and resuming skirmishes seamlessly.
Behind the Scenes
Built with modular ES6 classes managing pathfinding, tile occupancy, and turn queues with zero framework bloat.
A practical starting point
Start the Solo Campaign to learn mechanics or boot into Local Versus to test squad compositions.
Navigate high-ground terrain and obstacle choke-points to protect vulnerable support units.
Eliminate enemy grunts or secure capture points before turn timers expire.
Current context
The game is live at v0.0.3. New map zones, enemy archetypes, and tactical mechanics are added incrementally.
